should i trade?
i was recently asked by a rep at another cell phone place here at the mall i work at if i would be interested in an even trade. his MDA for my SK3. i use the sk mainly for email text and the web.i'd like to be able to view spreadsheets for work. having full internet is probably the biggest thing with a phone for me, that and a full keyboard. i know you can buy the t-mo hotspots thing for the wifi on the MDA, but its not essential to have for the internet to work. without the package, is the internet on the mda as good at the sidekick?
any suggestions? which is the better phone.

mda is for adults, sk3 is for kids....just depends on which one you are.

wow dude, a put down in advice. thats talent.
the sidekick does pretty much everything i need it to do, and it only costs me $20 extra. am i gonna get charged data usage every time i use the internet on it if i don't get the $30 t-mobile plan?
im a poor dude, the sidekick does what i need it to do, but it's kinda half assed. the MDA does everything and hits the nail on the head from what ive seen. i just dont know if it's worth it with cost and everything.

well im not familiar with tmo data plans as i am a cingular user. but on cingular you can get unlimited data for as low as 19.99. I have a 29.99 plan which has unlimited data plus 1000 msg.

I just bought a mda. I have to agree. SK3 is for kids and the mda is for adults. They do most of the same things but the mda is far better in my opinion. I honestly can't take anyone with a SK seriously.

LOL. Not trying to start a flame war or anything, but I don't think it's much of an insult to say the Sidekick is for kids... that's how they market the darn thing. The Sidekick is to PDA phones what the Nintendo Wii is to game consoles. That doesn't make them any less, it's just what they are.
As far as pricing... to get full internet access, T-Mobile forces you to pay for their internet plan which is $30 a month on top of what you already pay. My bill ends up being around $80 a month... that's 1,000 minutes, 1,000 text messages, nights & weekends, unlimited net access/usage and wi-fi hot spot access. You can buy the hot spot access by itself for $20 a month, but that's pretty pointless unless you spend a lot of time or work in a Sta...

Be grateful, my friend; Verizon makes you pay 44.99 (if it didn't work, i"d be pissed!)

The Mda is a better phone, The sidekick is for teens, and what sucks about it is that the kid features that the mda has, are way better than those offered on the sidekick. Get it, and you will see a huge difference. The ten dollars is worth it. so worth it.
