Hello all former Treo users. Does anyone know if there's a way to migrate all contacts and calendar into my 8125 without having to manually type everything from scratch? I know this is a long shot but it's a question worth asking. thanks all.

I beleive you would sync ur treo up to your pc, then find your contacts files and create a copy of your contacts folder, save to desktop for a easy find. Now, sync your PPC to the pc and find the contacts folder and copy/paste contacts. I don't think you can swap the contact files because they are 2 different formats, but this way is much easier i.e copy/paste. Hope that helps... if you have any more q's just ask.

I didn't have a treo but just a palm PDA. How I did it may still apply to you though.

What I had to do was use Hotsync to synch with Outlook instead of of the Palm Desktop. You can do this by changing the setting for your Hotsync on your PC. Then, you use ActiveSynch 4.1 to sync your Outlook with your MDA.

Be warned though...very buggy at best. I've found that it is not entirely seamless. The fact that ActiveSync still has a lot of issues doesn't help. You'll find wierd formatting problems, duplicate/missing calendar events, contacts memos/notes. But still better than having to reenter everything from scratch.

I wish Microsoft didn't drop Intellisync.
