Since several of you now have this device are any of the new owners having the same or new problems that sdeetz had? Is the device freezing up? Is it running horribly slow? I'm trying to decide whether or not to purchase tomorrow and would love some feedback on what everyone thinks...

I can not, for the life of me, get my damn WI-FI to work. I do not know what I am doing wrong and I know the people @ Cingular are clueless....

Other than the Wi_fi Issue, the phones is great! AWESOME reception, wonderful screen and my unit runs very quickly. No "slowdown" issues. I like it a lot and I am sure a software upgrade / patch will be forthcoming to address all of the little issues. I hope.

just bought the phone a day ago..and i love it! couldnt be happier with the purchase...out of the box the phone does experience some sluggishness and delay...but can we expect perfection in this imperfect world? its really a great phone with great potential!

I got my second one and have had no problems. The initial slowdown out of the box I think has to do with the huge automatic download/install of the Cingular software. After that it's been nothing but smooth sailing.

I got wifi to work after a bit of a struggle, but it was more a lack of understanding on my part I think.

I love this phone!

Had to make change on Wi-Fi. Go to start, settings, connections, connections, advanced, then select networks, change top setting to same as bottom. 😎

Thank you, I will try that tonight. I thought It was probably user error on my part.

Also, after the initial boot up (which does take for-ev-er), I have had NO issues. This things hasn't crashed once! I tried the iPqa when it first came out like last November and that thing was sllloooowww & crashed. Nothing like that piece of crap Treo 700w Verizon is pimping out.
