I had the .04 software version flashed onto my RAZR today, and it's nice. I don't use OBEX at all, so it really wasn't an issue for me. So far from what I can tell the upgrade does the following: 1. There is almost no lag between menus. 2. My bluetooth works great, and finally, the thing that used to drive me nuts when you missed a call, is fixed.
In the past when you missed a call and didn't view it immediately, the "missed call" icon would stay on the screen until you went into menu>Recent calls>Missed. Now all you hit is the green dial button and the screen is cleared.
I know it's a tiny thing, but it was annoying.

I agree with you, Razruzr. It took Verizon about 45 minutes to upgrade from my .03 software to the .04 but I'm actually glad I did it. Just like you said, there is hardly any lag.
I used to hate it when I received a call, flip the phone open and wait until it stated, "Ignore" or "Answer" ... (I have it set to "Open to Answer - Off"
But yeah, I use Bluetooth to connect to my car's navigation system and it still works with the .04 software.

Yeah, as part of the software upgrade, they got rid of the ability to have a front screen wallpaper. Instead you'll have an Orange screen.
I guess they really want to stress that "Verizon Wireless" is your carrier by having it on a bright orange screen 😛
But you know what, I'll take that and have faster response and no lag with the buttons.

I've always been a huge fan of the phone, but with the .04 upgrade, it's like a whole new phone.
I also noticed that when you are reading a text msg, you don't have to exit that msg, scroll down and open the next. When you have a msg open you can just arrow right and left to go to the next msgs.
BTW, the orange screen on the front doesn't bother me. It's not like you could see the picture on the front anyways.

OK I can deal with the orange screen but what is displayed on the front when a call comes in and you have a picture ID associated with the person's phone number?

My pix still show on the outside display. It seems to me that the only thing that has changed is that the inside wallpaper doesn't show on the outside screen.

I just tested it to make sure, and yes, the picture ID does work on the outside display.

Thanks for doing that for me. The outside display brightness and quality is so weak anyway, the wallpaper is hard to distinguish.
I do, however use it to see who is calling when the flip is closed even though I do not have it set to answer on flip open.
