Silly Subject - the Banner feature

I don't understand why this phone only allows 12 characters for the Banner...when you go into the Banner setup, 3 lines are displayed...I thought maybe it was 12 characters per line, but I can't get to the second line to enter anything...it just boggles my mind that my old, smaller moto could hold a bigger banner...why such a big screen...and speaking of the big screen, I'm new to this phone...I haven't downloaded anything yet or taken video...wondering if while you are viewing video if the 4 bars (red/gray top and bottom) stay during the viewing...it just seems sad that this huge screen would not be useful in viewing video.

Haven't played with the banner too much.. any added stuff even lessens the already small viewing area. There's a cool full screen view feature when watching video. You actually turn the phone sideways and it's widescreen. 😛 Also a full screen and zoom option for pix.
