Headset plug for razr???

Okay, so I've talked to several verizon and cingular reps and they each have a different response. One actually said I don't know ! 😲

Anyway, does the razr have a headset jack where I could plug in a headset or would I ONLY be able to use the bluetooth? I am planning on purchasing a bluetooth headset but do spend 2 to 3 hours at a time on the phone and fear that the bluetooth headset would not hold the charge that long.

No jack for wired headset on the RAZR, but there are a lot of BT headsets out with very long talk time that would work for you.

there ARE wired headsets available

it's just a bit harder to find because companies like Plantronics are not yet making them for the USB style phones.

Motorola has a couple of options. I'm sure 3rd party (like Plantronics) will be available soon.

I just bought a Motorola H300 bluetooth headset. It runs on one AAA battery and you don't have to worry about charging it or carrying around extra chargers wherever you go. The talk time is up to 30 hours and the standby time is up to 22 days. It works great with my RAZR (VZW). It's on sale at Radio Shack for $50. Or you can go on Motorola's website and purchase the HS 805 for $30. Check it out. The downfall for a wired headset is that you cannot charge the phone at the same time while in use, whereas utilizing a bluetooth headset, you can.

VZW carries a headset that is sold in store as well as through customer service. Part number: 66584. Price is $29.99. This headset works with the motorola V3c only.

DO NOT BUY THIS ADAPTER!

I bought 2 of them and there is an impedance mismatch between the older type headsets and the new one.
No matter which headset I use, the audio is grossly distorted. The adapter is useless.
I bought the Motorola wired one made for the phone and it is no picnic either but it is not distorted.
When I use it, everyone keep asking me to repeat myself.
I have 2 RAZRS and 2 of these headsets. Same for all.

Did you buy it on E-bay? Maybe I got bogus adapters because It acts that way on my 2 razrs.
You got the Rolex watch and I perhaps got the Rolaid? 😉

There IS a headset that SHOULD have come with the phone- it plugs into the same place as the charger
