because verizon tests their phones until it's all right. i would rather verizon wait a little longer to release something and not put out crap then to get a phone that is crap! 🙄

And because VZW's version has its own menu layout as well as VCAST. Definitely going through major testing before launch. That or they're holding it until just before Christmas.

Verizon Testing sucks. They are sad for letting alltell release it first. How many phones do they release that still have major issues after they were delayed for there so called testing. The V710 had cameras that were 15 degrees off. The LG VX8100 was missing the mp3 player. When your launching millions of phones in the amount they are and you claim to test them its hard to believe when you let phones with major defects slip through. If there holing it its not for testing its so they can market it in some way that they have come up with.

I agree. I don't believe that Verizon tests each phone but they do select Verizon customers to use the phones prior to deciding whether or not they will actually release them. I was 1 out of 500 people who were given the opportunity to test the LG VX8000. And that's not real testing. They need to have Verizon Reps putting those phones through the mill, to determine what the phone can take, spot the clitches and determine any modifications that the phones should undergo.
I recently took back a second Samsung 970 with the swivel display. I've been waiting on that phone and my 2yr upgrade since June this year. I was so disappointed when I bought the phone and discovered for myself that the phone was obviously realeased prematurely.

Phone is due for release this week however some sources are saying the phones are have a volume problem and have to be re-flashed not all of the the however.

i think or rather i know it's a just before x-mas thing at this point. but how much anticipation can you build for a phone that's BEEN released by other carriers as much as a year ago?? 😕

AND selling for $39.99 with a 2 year plan from Cingular. True, Cingular sucks, but still, $39.99.
