Is the Razr going to have the Dreaded Low Battery Noise ?

Guys,

I have to tell you that the biggest issue I have with Moto Phones is when a E815 or V710 goes into Low Battery mode, it produces a horribly annoying Low Battery Chirp every few minutes and it can't be stopped.

This is a killer for most people that work or anyone who ever uses silent mode. It's unreal that when I spoke to Moto about this on the E815, they felt that was a good thing. I said to the guy (Who by the way was a product enginner for the E815) why does the person have to hear this over and over and over. After the first chirp, the person knows his battery is low. I asked him why when the phone is in SILENT mode why it does not stay silent and his answer was (Uhhhh) I don't know. This is the kind of stuff I can't deal with...

yeah, but sometimes you can't help it...and theatermax is right...if a phone is in silent mode, IT SHOULD NOT MAKE NOISE PERIOD. Its ridiculous and poor engineering on the part of motorola. HOpefully they get it right this time with the RAZR

Thanks Chris for understanding.

Gunny, we run businesses and we can't always be charging our phones. The topic here was simple and not to be sarcastic but it's a serious concern for people who use their phone. We do 3000-4000 mins. a month per phone and we can't be in a customers home that we just built for them and having our cell phone go Beep bong every 5 minutes. Of course you can shut it off but then you miss calls and caller id's.. IT SUCKS and they should really fix this..

We all have our own little preferences and pet-peeves. For me it's side buttons. I HATE them. Won't buy a phone with those dumb-azz things placed where my fingers or thumb wants to rest. That's what I love about the RAZR. Open the flip and there are NO side-buttons from the hinge down!!
For the next guy it's all about MP3. I couldn't care less.
For the next guy it's all about the camera. I couldn't care less.
For the next guy it's BlueTooth. I couldn't care less.
For Alejandro it's all about a feminine design and a pink cover. I couldn't care less.

I don't know if this will matter or not but the gsm razr does not have this problem, if its on silent or vibrate then there is no low battery noise, so hopefully they kept this the same on the cdma razr

lol, are you serious, you are going to boycott a phone because of a batter alert...lol hold on while I stop laughing...(now with a serious face) ARE you kidding me, I say go a head its not going to hurt motos sale on this phone. Trust me as annoying that sound is, its better then your phone not making a sound and just powering itself off and you not know it. Thats really aggravating

Ccanady, you obviously are never in situations where a loud annoying beep every few minutes would be a problem. Well guess what, alot of people can't have that going on.

Simply said, silent should be silent. It's a really stupid software bug that just shows how amateur some of the companies are in their design(Moto). Believe me I want Moto to put out a great phone, I would love to have a fully functional Razr and dump my samsung.

Pride is key here and if an American Company is not going to take pride and release products that work correctly, well shame on us.
