Weak Bluetooth?
I have this phone synced up with my G5 (internal Bluetooth) and I can't move it more then a foot away from the computer without the connection dropping off. I can get my Motorola v710 15 feet across the room and the connection doesn't drop off. Have any of you experienced this? How about performance with headsets?

nope 30-90 feet for me.
its probally your headset. check if its bluetooth 1.1 or 1.2. 1.1 has a very weak sygnal or your phone could have a bummed bt signal.

How do I tell the version? I looked under phone status and don't see anything. There is a 1.1 for CLDC. Is that it?
I also tried on my Powerbook (bought last summer) and the same thing, get the phone about a foot away from it and it drops the connection.

it would clearly say bluetooth is version 1.2 or 1.1. this phone is to new to be 1.1 if it is and i find out i'm throwing mine away. but if your headset say's 1.1 then that could be your problem. or your phones bluetooth chip and antenna could be defective.

Yea, I don't see how it could be 1.1. I'm convinced it's a problem with the bluetooth or antenna. I'm going to call Cingular tomorrow to get an exchange going.
