WMP 10 and song sync
OK...I'm going to bite the bullet and get the firmware upgrade on my original A950. Question...can you use WMP10 to transfer MP3's to my transflash and put them on the phone without the cable? Will it automatically convert the MP3's to WMA's on the card? I don't want to convert my entire library to WMA, and I don't want 2 copies of each song on my laptop...just the WMA's on the phone. Does the Music Kit do the on-the-fly conversion, or will WMP10 on my laptop do that with a card reader and the transflash?

Your songs will automatically convert to WMA in WMP 10, but you DO need the cable to sync your music to your phone's card.

Here's what I found. When I used just WMP 10 and my card reader to xfer mp3s it did not convert them. I had to use WMP10 to convert them and have 2 copies. However, today I bought the music essentials kit and used the usb to sync mp3s to phone and did not have to convert them. I found that it is worth investing in the kit because it seems to make xferring a lot easier and faster (no removing the trans card from device to device and no converting files). Hope this helps 🙂
