Guys,

I was doing some battery testing over the last few days and found a nasty bug.

The timers in the 950 are wacky.

Reset your timers and try this.

If for instance I am on a call sometimes and let's say the call is 10 minuts long. A call Waiting comes in which I tell the person I will call them back. The 2nd caller drops off but the phone records the time for that call as the length of the whole call and adds it to the entire usage.

What does this mean ?? Your phones hours usage is going to be way more than it really is..

If you go to the call list when you hang up you can see that both people got a long talk time and it's all wrong.

What do we do ?

We need to bring this up to samsung and verizon because for all we...

The engine in your car would only really have 1 mile used on oven the it says two miles. The phone timer does not mean anything to VZW when keeping track of the calls that is for your benefit only. The real timer is kept in the the switch that is connecting your phone to where it is going. If this issue bothers you call Samsung, VZW will not be able to help you with the issue.

Oh really ?

Since VZW is selling the product and representing a product that works as per the book, they better look into this.

Are you kidding ? Yes, we know it's samsungs problem, but Verizon needs to tell them to fix it..

It's serious enough for a class action lawsuit like the V710.. The lifetime timers illustrate usage on the device. Companies look at the usage of their employees based on these numbers possibly.

You think this is okay ?

Just wait and see

If you buy a Pepsi from a 7-11 and it is labeled wrong do you complain to 7-11?

You call Pepsi they are the ones that made the prodcut 7-11 is just selling it. You can call and tell a CS rep what is going on with your phone, but that is far as it goes.

You as the customer are the only one the life timer of the phones is for. VZW does not base it charges off of the timer in your phone. It is the actual connection to the network.

The V710 lawsuit had to do with advertisement of the BT uses. VZW is not advertising the call timer in the phone, it advertise taking pics, making calls, playing music, etc. You should quit looking around for a freebie and live with it. If you think it is worthy of a lawsuit maybe you should file it, if ...

Bdanboy , grow up...

I found a bug that is a problem for keeping track of usage on a phone. It's a feature that has been designed wrong and VZW is selling it.

Stop the nonsense and wake up..

When you go to sell you hpone and it should have had 2000 hrs on it but it has 10000 , that is okay ?

No it's not okay

The timer is really useless in keeping track of your minutes. VZW bills in full minute increments. You can make four 30 sec calls and the timer in the phone would says 2 min total usage, but VZW will charge for 4 min. That is why they have #MIN fr you to check your min. I do not sell my phone I donate it to charity and I do not see people posting on EBay this phones as on 2000 hrs of usage no one cares. Should VZW pull all the phones the market? There would never be any phones to buy since they would all be recalled.
