New Firmware
Has anyone done the supposed firmware upgrade yet? From a950.Y103 to a950.YK25?

It came out Friday I believe.
So far I know it only fixes an ESN issue where certain phones showed roaming when they were not. Not too sure if it fixes anything else...don't think it does, but no one seems to have full details.

How do you get this upgrade? Is it an over the air thing, or do I go to a Verizon store? If so, will they know what I'm talking about?

You can get the upgrade by going into a Verizon store and telling them you would like to update to the newest version of software on the phone.
This is a free service but takes anywhere from 15 minutes up to an hour or two depending on the wait at the Tech Area and how many phones are ahead of you.
The people at Verizon don't usually know very much and they will probably say they have no idea what you are talking about. I have heard from people on other forums that alot of the Verizon stores do not have the cable needed for the phone because Samsung and/or Verizon changed the plug on this phone when compared to other Samsung phones.

Yes it does exist and is available (in some locations), technical support will confirm this.

Spoke with data about an issue with the 950 and software issues. They called me back and stated that Samsung told them they weren't sure that the update was coming out. And they weren't sure it was going to fix other issues that some of the phones are having connecting to the web and GIN, along with anything else that's going on.

Firmware exists. a950.YK25 is the newest one. Verizon said they have the software but they do not have the cable to do the update. (This is in the San Diego area).

Mine is in the upstate NY area, Syracuse. YK25 is the next firmware and there is know issues with the YF28 sw, mine was the YI03. Like I said though, the data person for verizon spoke with Samsung directly and they didn't know for sure that it was being released or when if they do release. And it may not fix the issues that are happening.
