Chirping

I got this phone a week ago and it chirped and beeped during calls. I exchanged it for another one which also now chirps and beeps during calls. I've tried changing the network EVDO, CDMA, etc. but nothing seems to make a difference. Any suggestions?

Are you letting the battery get low? If so, it may be the low battery warning, or you may have your reminders set to go off missed calls, messages, etc. and this may be what your hearing. ???????????????????????????

no, no and no. The chirping began right after I charged my new phone and started to use it so no reminders had been set either. Both phones just chirped away. The one I still have does on occasion.

And I'm not sure why you are responding. Don't you have an LG 8100? Do you have even have the a950 phone?

FYI- One you should never change the "networks" on your phone. Two, you need a softwatre update. That was one of the first quirks in the first 5 batches of the 950. There ya go... problem solved.

I had the a950 for about a month and went through three of them in about my first month in my new contract. I called CS about all my problems with the chirping and static, etc., and CS allowed me to get a brand new VX8100 at no extra cost. It was absolutey free and now have a brand new phone. The VX8100 is superior to the a950 only because it actually functions as a phone first and everything else second. Plus, my phone has not fluctuated yet like others have said. I'm waiting for it to happen though.

How is it solved? I heard Version 6 will supposedly fix it and they are only up to version 5.

It is an issue quite a few people seem to have with the A950 (I have it too).

I don't have the problem, but I have heard of people with the E815 and the vx-8100 also complaining at times about the same thing. I suspect it is a network problem in some regions, where some phones seem better at filtering out the network noise.

I hear the chirping sound sometimes but it's really faint. I do have a problem where the volume cuts in and out. I've been reading a lot about this phone and it supposedly has a way to filter out background noise but I think it's screwing up on a batch of phones.
