What are we paying for?

Hey...I've noticed this phone likes to send you into the expensive web browser with a single accidental click of a button. Hehe...

More importantly, I read a post that said if you send an audio file to your phone by e-mailing it to number@vzwpix.com, your phone will recieve it and you can use that sound as a ringtone. Do we pay for that message if we have the $5 unlimited text and pix/flix on the "IN" network??

I'm trying to figure out what we pay any extra for, as I don't want to do that, hah.

Also, what about uploading PIX/FLIX to PIX Place? Do we pay to do that?

I've looked all over the Verizon site but they like to keep charges a secret. GRR!

As far as the first part of your question, even if you accidentally hit the Mobile Web button, you will not be charged anything if your not subscribed to it. Actually, you can press that anytime and it will take you to a page where you can either sign up for mobile web via your handset or use MY ACCOUNT, which is free and let's you check your account for things such as minutes used, balance, etc.

To answer the other parts:

Messages sent to your phone via email or the web count against the 50 "out-of-network" messages that are included in that $5/month feature. Pictures or flix that you upload to Pix Place also count against that 50 message allowance. If you use more than those 50, you're billed $.10 apiece.

Hope that helps. 🙂

Thank you very much. That answered all of my questions. 🙂

Last quick question, does any these "IN" PIX/FLIX transmissions use up air time?

They all do. Unless you subscribe to VCast, in which case they are airtime free.

That doesn't make sense...it seems like it should be part of the "IN" calling... ☚ī¸

Oh well...
