Do you mind telling us what "call out cards" are? And when you say "real soon" - are you talking sometime within the next 30 days? Also, any idea if sufficient testing was done on the phone so we don't have a repeat of the 8100 and 815 fiasco?

cal out cards are just the lil info below the phone when you go into a verizon store or kiosk...that has the details and features of the phones...really the e815 and 8100's werent that bad...all phones have issues...i say within 30 days...kiosks and retail store will have the 970s

I have an issue with just accepting "all the phones have problems". How about not trying to cram so many features into a phone that you can't test them?

I had both the e815 and 8100 and returned them both--the e815 locked up so hard I had to pull the battery out to even turn it off and the 8100's volume fluctuated between painfully loud and inaudible. I went back to my 5 year old Startac--which worked better as a phone than either of the newer ones.

I'll try the 970 when it comes out, but won't hesitate to return it if it has fundamental problems with basic phone functionality. I'd like some of the nifty new features--but not at the expense of a phone that won't work as a phone.

oh and...

the "call out" cards weren't even out when i first picked up the 8100, so do you think there is a chance for the a970 to be out within the next say 14 days (as i just got the 815 yesterday?)

phonescoop is great for information but i swear i think i'm more indecisive on phones than before.

thanks again,
j

OK, how could you possibly state you got 4 call out cards and not give us the features that are listed on them? For god sakes, at least state whether it mentions the MP3 player as no one has been able to confirm whether Verizon will cripple this phone by deactivating it. If they do, say good bye to this phone being on the most wanted list.

We have no info as to whether the MP3 player will be active at release, however it is mentioned in the info we have (sorry, can't give too much away). Watch for the launch of VZW's Music On Demand. I've got a feeling there will be a SW flash that will enable the players.

Keep in mind that this is a High-Tier phone. It will probably be a little expensive. Remember when the LG 8000 first appeared?

I heard they will be in the $300.00 range. And he "can't give too much away" huh. Does Verizon bug employee computers now?

call out cards do not have prices on them...we have price strips which go under them...go or call any direct vzw store and ask them about the cards or look at them...its coming...most likely the west area will get them first...

I wanted to know if you could help me...
Background: Verizon has been my one and only carrier since I have owned a phone (7 years maybe) I am due for an upgrade in September and would like to know if you know of any new and exciting phones coming out around then. I am looking for:1+ megapixel camera, expandable memory, speaker phone, and all that other good stuff. It seems that all the other carriers are getting the cool/fun phones that I want but I do not want to switch over. can you please provide me w/ a little info. sorry this message was soooo long.

P.S. - Do you know if the Kyocera KX5 Slider Remix is going to be avalable to Verizon. Thanks 🙂
