I just got my vx9800 two days ago. my last phone which was the lg mm535 had major battery issues so i want to make sure i do the right thing with this battery. When i got the phone i charged it up all the way and then used it until it ran out. i figured this would calibrate the battery correctly. can anyone tell me if i am wrong?? i usuall plug my phone in to charge every night even if it is not all the way dead...is that bad for the battery?? should i let it run out all the way then charge back up all the time???

any suggestions would be great.

It is not really recommended to plug ur phone in all the time. It is recommended to let the phone die the first time (which you did right) and then let it die almost completly, like to 1 or so bars. If you do that you should be just fine. One thing that is highly recommended is to get the extended life battery, it makes a ton of difference. Hope this helps.

does the extended life battery make the phone awkward when you lay it down. I usually set it like that when I'm at work so its easy to reply to texts. I know it pokes out a bit, but what do you think?

Yes to answer your question, the extended battery makes the phone feel thicker, and a bit heavier. I haven't used my phone too much today and im on th e2nd day at full charge (4bars of battery) and i'm still going strong. Like I said, you do feel it but it does feel solid in your hand and makes a hell of a difference on your phones battery life.
