I just got the 9800 recently and i was wondering how to use the text to speech function. i know how to make it read my messages to me but not how to tell it what to type..thanks in advance

Lol, I thought the same thing when I got the phone too, you can't tell it what to type. It's text to speech, not speech to text.

But when the phone is closed press the button above the end button then say messeges or scroll to messeges and you can go through your messeges. But it is just easier to open up messeges and go through them that way.

If you have the bluetooth headset or any headset for that matter, just hit the voicecommand button, say messages, it'll tell you who sent it, the date, and time then it'll ask you if you wanna open the message. You then say Yes and then it opens it up for you. At that point if you want it read to you through your headset all you have to do is hit the voicecommand button again.

You don't need bluetooth headset to do that. What I said does the same exact thing. Try it out.
