This beast has pretty good battery life. I can use it for about 2 days when I talk on it, watch movies, play mp3's, and get on the internet all day. (during class)
It's pretty loud, I can hear it when it's in my pants when they are in my room, when I'm watching t.v in the family room. Some people complain about sound though.

Use the 3_gpp converter.
It plays mp3's in the .mp3, and .wma for sure and probably other formats too.
