I just purchased this phone and am waiting for it to come to me via Fed Ex. I was wondering how long I should charge it before using it? I've heard so many different numbers that I just want to safe.

You should fully charge it.
Plug it in and charge it until the front screen says charge complete. The time it takes to get there will be dependent upon how much charge is on the battery when it arrives. To fully charge a battery takes about 5 hours (according to the manual) It will probably not take near that long to fully charge yours.
