wireless sync costs $19.99 a month, Mobleweb $5 per month

I got the phone before they told me that wireless sync would cost $19.99 - total deal breaker. You pay $5.00 for Mobile Web 2.0, then $20 for a sync that doesn't work with many email suppliers (no msn, hotmail or gmail), and more for text messaging.

If I wanted to really pay for data I would get a PDA phone, and get real data. I thought this was going to be a great alternative, and the $$ saved would make up for not having WiFi or real Internet access.

I am disappointed.

It is a slick little phone, but the marketing on this led me astray. It is going back to the store tomorrow.

Well, such is life for you. This syncs great with my corporate IMAP email and my Earthlink POP email. Granted, $20 is steep for no attachment viewing and a large of of HTML being stripped; but it does sync your email hourly without a hitch. Not many non-PDA phones will do this, especially for Verizon.

It's all in what you choose in a phone. I've tried about every PDA-based phone device on the market, and I've had many phone-related problems with each. This is a great phone...period. Volume is great; reception is great; bluetooth works great. It's solid, IMHO.

The only fault I have right now is that you can't store addresses for contacts; oh, and the GIN app choices for this phone stink right now. I realize more will be coming.
