I am reading a lot of posts about other LG phones, that claim poor reception and lesser signal strength vs. Motorola.

Most LG phones have at lease some kind of a stub, the 9800 has probably only a built in antenna at best. How bad do you think the reception would be?

Digital reception usually got nothing to do with how long your antenna is. The reason why Motorola seems to have better reception to most people is because the way their internal software is set up. It is built for people that travels, the software switches and hands-off cell to cell quicker. An LG phone’s software is better for people that stays in limited area with less cell tower hand offs. U know i have had so many cell phones i get like 3 or 4 a year just to try new technology. I live in a primarely digital area i dont even think their are any analog towers. my town has limited coverage as there are no towers in it because they arent aloud. Every single time the tri mode phones have worked better even when in an all digital area you can argue it cant be true all you want but the trimode phones all worked in areas the digitals dont and where there are no analog signals. and it didnt matter what brand from moto to samsung to LG trimode always held a better signal. just my two cents.
