So, having had my 6682 more than 2 months, and just TODAY did I notice a thin clear plastic cover to the screen! Not a huge difference after I pulled it off, but I JUST saw it.

Of course, as soon as I stopped laughing at myself, I started getting paranoid about the screen getting scratched. . .

I noticed that too. But I left it there, it has a silver corner thing where you could peel it off right? I don't want to go out and buy a clear pda cover for it. Too hard to put on sometimes.

Yeah, I saw the silver corner thing, but it seemed to be the same color as the case, so I thought it was part of the screen, and since it didn't cover anything, I thought it was permanently on the screen. Oh well.

Mine finally began to peel away after about 5 months in my pocket!!!

So I went to Office Depot and picked up a $20 pack of screen protectors made by Palm for Palm handhelds.

I took off the funny-shaped Nokia screen protector, stuck it on the backing for one of the Palm sheets, and then cut out a new protector in the same shape. I put it on, and it's like I have a brand new screen.... and this one's even shinier.

The Palm brand was reccommended to me by the Office Depot dude. He said he had tried Fellowes brand which is $4 cheaper, but that it sucks.

btw, the Palm pack comes with 13 sheets... should last me quite a while. I'm intending to keep the original Nokia as a stencil for cutting more out as needed.
