3.5mm plug headset adapter issue

I just got my SLVR from Comp USA on Monday $32 (tax included) out the door.

The phone is great, and I am still learning all of what it can do...but I have stumbled upon a problem with my phone/headset adapter.

When playing I-tunes (with no headset at all), the phone works fine and the sound comes from the phone's built in speaker.

With the Motorola supplied (wired) ear buds the sound comes out of the ear buds fine, and the speaker in the phone itself goes silent.

But, when using the 3.5mm headsel adapter...the sound still comes from the phone speaker, and nothing is heard from the headset. I have tried a few different headsets with the same results.

I feel that either the 3.5mm headset adapter or the phone itself is bad...due...

Just a follow-up reply to maybe help someone else out.

I was finally able to get ahold of another SLVR phone at Comp USA and pull the headset adapater out of the box. Upon plugging the new headset adapetr into my phone...the I-tunes worked properly. The music coming from the SLVR speaker quieted down, and the music then played through my favorite headsets with no more issues.

The Problem was merely the headset adapter.
