KEYPAD LIGHTS

I have had several Motorolas and the keypads light up. I just got the SLVR and have a RAZR and my keypad doesn't light up like the RAZR. Is my phone broken or does the keypad not light up?

phone has a built-in light sensor and keypad will only light up when dark. take into a dark room and try.

Same thing happened to me. I just returned it to Cingular for a replacement. Its the individual phone.
