I recently purchased the SLVR L7. Let me tell you some thing! This phone sux!!! I previously had the Sony Ericcson w600i and that phone was sweet compared to this one! I can't do any thing with this stupid Motorola phone, they locked it down and put a cr@py interface on it!

My question is has any one been able to hack into the stupid phone? If so some tips would be nice because as it is out of the box it's a wast of money! Other than its kick'n sweet design and size the phone has nothing to offer for real "personal" use!

If any one from iTunes or motorola is reading this plesae, know that
#1 not every one has bought into this stupid iTunes craze and we think it sux.
#2 motorola, what were you thinking? Oh let's lock the phone to and...

As for the point #2 you make,

"Oh let's lock the phone to and force our customers "BUY" ringtones, let's demand that they spend there money on our stupid interface that a real mobile user can't do any thing with... U cheap bastards!!!"

If you do not know how to unlock the phone or make/put your own ringtones on it then what makes you think you could hack it if someone told you how? Also, as far as iTunes goes it's just the media player, you dont have to buy anything from the iTunes store. You can just put your own mp3's on the phone. I don't see what the big deal is.

Do you have the phone yourself?
Have you physically gotten a chance to play with the Sony w600.
My guess is you haven't, if you can, compare the two and then get back to me and post your comments.

Is there a way to unlock the ring tones?
Why not just share the knowledge.
I've spent at the most 6 hours total in the few day's I've had this phone learning the in's and out's. I'm sure in due time I will find it.

But for now, keep your negative remarks towards me in your own mind.
I didn't post a message to start getting attacked by another person who is just interested in reading commentary's on the SLVR the same as I.

Ummm....Im confused. Normally if somethign you purchased sux in your mind, you take it back... LOL I had the slvr and just took it back b/c I thought the speakerphone was bad,and for me the speakerphone is an important feature. So...If you love the W600 so much then why the hell don't you have it or go back to it?

yes, i have the slvr. yes i have played with the sony w600. and it's personal preference on which on you like better, the slvr is on the cutting edge of style and size and is the draw to buying it, imho. yes the w600 is sweet, but i dont like slider/swivel phones and it's too big for me. however i dont think anyone cares why i like the phones that i like... anyways, enough said, for ringtones see my post in "cingular iTunes vs. unlocked version" thread.

Thanks for the info Mr. Bob...
Seriously I agree with you on the "cutting edge of style and size" 100%. But the interface was just not customizable enough for me. "Personal preference" of mine to have full accessability to customize my settings...
The w600 is bulky I also agree on that...

You're a good man Mr. Bob...
