Has anyone heard if Lockline and Cingular will offer insurance for this phone? 🙄

Well, I think the question of "will cingular carry" should be answered before we should speculate on lock/line insuring this phone. I know if you get one unlocked and use with cingular then you can't insure it.

Once Cingular decided to release the phone, I am almost 100% sure that they will cover the phone via lockline. They offered it on the V600.
As for the release date, it was slated for the first week of May. Since I have already recieved my phone pricing sheet for May, there is no mention of the phone. So instinct tells me that the phone has been posponed until June 1. CIngular telesales employees are in a contest with Motorola to win a V635 and it ends on May 5th. Typically prizes are awarded before the phone hits the streets. As usual things are subject to change.

I work for Cingular and the contest is over. Motorola is shipping the phones we won on May 1st. They have sent us an e-mail stationg that the V635 might not be available on May 1 and aother phone may be sent in its place.

Like what a Moto V551? That sucks for you guys. I hope Motorola doesn't take 3 months like they have for the last contest they had (allpromoto). I am still waiting for my prize from January.

I doubt it will be the V551. They sent us all those in November. My guess would be a cheap version of the V635.

A cheap version of the V635? How is that possible. Perhaps the V557? A V551 with MP camera and PTT. One way or another you are lucky....I spent $320 on my V635. Have a good one.
