Curious if any of you have successfully used this phone to surf the web at high speed on a laptop through either a USB cable or the bluetooth connection.

Let me know as this is the key factor in my purchase decision.

Thx.

The i730 cannot be BT tethered to be used as a laptop... VZW is concerned that users may take advantage of the EV-DO capability and possibly bog down the network... I personally recommend the review at mobiletracker.com; very in-depth

The i730can be used as a modem. So can the 6600. However it is something that is not supported by Verizon Wireless, but if you pay the $49.99 or the $79.99 monthly fee, they will support it. You will need to call their Data Support team to do so. You can use it as a modem without paying the fee, but if you get caught using it in high volume, verizon will shut your service off, and send you a bill for charges incurred at 15cents per KB. So, the lesson today kids is anything "can" be done, but some things are "frowned" upon.
