I can't seem to connect to any WiFi hot spot. Whenever I turn on the WiFi the phone tries to connect to the National Access (#777). Is anyone else having this problem? Any help would be great. Thanks...

In my Treo 650 I need to switch connection method when I want to use Bluetooth to connect to my home network. Try looking around in your preferences in network settings and see if you can switch between National Access and a predefined WiFi profile or create one. Just guessing here so if you can't find anything like this sorry.

In order to use the WiFi you have to have the phone off and then set up the WiFi card. Go to start, settings, connections and then network cards. Make sure you have your system listed and make sure that it connects. If you don't do this and the phone is on you will use the express network and incure some big charges.

It still doesn't work. I got to Network Cards, but don't know the next step. Does it need to scan for available networks?
Thanks

The WiFi will only work if you have a wireless network in your home or at work. If you do then it will find that network and you can give the key if needed or hold down the styls on the network name and then touch connect when it comes up. No WiFi network at home or office you need to use VZWs system of EVDO. It seems to work well and the times I have used it it was pretty fast.

I found that in order to connect to my wifi network at home I need to have the following settings.

First Enable Wifi--this will turn off the phone and EVDO

Next goto Start-->settings-->connections-->network cards

Then I needed to make the make that says Networks to access read "Only access points"

In the Configure Wireless Networks box you should see available networks. Click and hold on the network you want then press connect.

It should connect on its own if its not a secured network. Once you have connected once it will do it on its own and you will skip this step.

The catch for me was selecting ONLY ACCESS POINTS as opposed to ALL AVAILABLE. I don't know why but it won't connect if I have All AVAILABLE selected.
