Worth it?

So I have posted here a couple of times trying to entice those of you who have the phone to help me decide to get it or not. No responses to any of my posts, so I'll try one more time.

I am really torn--I am a hardcore Pocket PC user and am also very hard on my phones. I don't have a land line, so this would be it.

From what you have seen in the past weeks that you have had this phone are the phone frustrations enough to make you wish that you had something else?

I've been reading about how terrible the phone features are--is this normal on a device that has both a PDA and a phone? I also would be using this as my MP3 player--at least that's how I have used my PPC in the past.

You may want to hold out for the Samsung i640/645 (see Feature Articles up on the left of this page and navigate to it). I'm with you - a good phone first, PDA second. I'm hoping this may be it (it's PPC).

I broke the Nokia and have lived off of my old Kyocera 2135, which is not bad but antiquated. Bottom line, the phone functions really are not bad.. far better than older phones like the Nokia and Kyocera. I changed the obnoxi...

Windows Mobile 5 (WM5) is supposed to take care of most of the phone problems.

It integrates PPC and smart phone software. With PPC, almost everything is done using two hands, one for the device, one for the stylus. A real pain if you are trying to make a phone call doing 70mph down the freeway. WM5 makes the phone one-handable, and really beef ups the phone end of the device.

Microsoft's website has good information on it. I've read some good reviews about it. I don't remember where, so you will have to Google it.

Samsung says the phone is upgradeable. I haven't heard when or if VZN will make WM5 available.

As for the MP3 player, I've heard that the external stereo speakers suck. I haven't heard anything about the headpho...
