Does snyone know if you loose your data each time the batty dies or does it keep all of your data even with a dead or changed battery like the Treo 650? Also does anyone have any experience with the battery life on the i730?
I am trying to decide between the i730 and the Treo 650. Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks.

I think I found an answer to one of the questions. I was reading the i730 manual online. Apparently there is an internal battery which will maintain your data for about 4 hours after the main battery dies.
So the memory is not the same as the memory on the treo 650.

I'm looking at the same decision, Treo 650 vs. the i730.

Even as a 2 year Samsung i700 user, I cannot justify $600 for a phone without a camera. The battery issue is definitely a consideration as I've lost everything in that phone when the battery ran out. Despite backup and reload-ability of my Address book from synching with Outlook, you still have to re-install any added software. You also LOSE your Call History permanently unlike with the Treo 650. With the Samsung, it's too easy to accidentally press one of the side buttons and reactivate the screen when putting the device in your pocket after turning it off. This has resulted in unknown calls being made and people listening to my conversations without my knowledge. Another con...

I have a treo 600. Also if for some reason, which happened to my 600 once, a hard reset happens and everthing is lost, when you hotsync it everything is restored, and I mean everything. All the 3rd party software and additional installs get installed back into your phone and all your preferences get put back, ring selections, sound preferences, call history, everything, like nothing happened. This is a first for me because all my regular palm pilots that were not phones before this did not always install everything back like as if nothing happened. But on the Treo 600 it did everything, like even my Vindigo with the cities I had chosen and so forth. The only thing it didn't do is that for some of the software with registration keys I ha...

Just came back from my local Verizon store.

Finally got a chance to check out the new i730, and quite frankly, I was not overly impressed. Found the keyboard, screen clarity, screen readability, and navigation on the Treo to be superior. The new i730 is a good phone in many respects, but I'm convinced it's overrated and overpriced.

Sorry to disappoint all you fellow Samsung PDAers, but as a 2 year i700 owner, I think the Treo 650 is clearly A BETTER VALUE.
