Is EVDO Worth It?

From the Verizon site:

"Unlimited NationalAccess/BroadbandAccess cannot be used: (1) for uploading, downloading or streaming of movies, music or games; (2) with server devices or with host computer applications, including, without limitation, Web camera posts or broadcasts, automatic data feeds, telemetry applications, automated functions or any other machine-to-machine application; or (3) as a substitute or backup for private lines or dedicated data connections."

Doesn't that kinda suck?? Why pay so much money for high speed if you can't download or stream music or movies?

Unlimited? Oh well, what's a little lie among friends?

In addition to music and movies, they also say you can't download games? So if I go to Microsoft's or some other developer of games for Pocket PC, I can't download their games to my $750 Pocket PC that I buy from Verizon if I use Verizon as my service provider.

Boy, first they cripple a potentially great high speed phone, then they cripple a potentially great high speed system. (They probably actually crippled the system before they crippled the phone.) What next?

I believe that it is recommended that you can't do those things. That the technology might not be able to handle it. It is in no way a limitation that Verizon has put in the machine or network, just a simple disclaimer so that people don't get their panties in a wad.

Chill out~
