LG vx8100 - Text message delay?

All:

Playing with a new LG VX 8100 (not really new, received in January, just didn't activate until a few weeks ago) and getting a really annoying issue with texts.

Half the time, I'll receive them anywhere from 5 minutes to 3 hours later than when they were sent. Just looking at one:

May 20, 3:59pm
STORED: May 20, 4:13pm.

I'm sitting in my living room, so it's not like I've gone to a new time zone. It's just like the phone doesn't want to recognize them, and just gets them "when it feels like it."

Sometimes, I'll make a call, and as soon as th call goes through, six texts will come in - i.e., they were all sent previously, and the phone was just recognized by the network. It's REALLY frustrating.

Searched on "text delay" ...

that is a network issue, not a phone issue, call custoemr servcie and ask for tech support. the will give them to you when the network sends them to your phone.

What sort of signal are you getting where you are sitting? I experience the same thing you are describing. In some areas of my house I don't get good service. If I am elsewhere in the house and get decent service then my phone will download the "stored" messages. Just a thing I've come to understand about my phone and something I've come to expect and know how to deal with.

Just my 2 cents...
