LG VX-8100
MP3 Issue
I just bought a new LG VX-8100. I am having alot of trouble playing MP3's, in fact i cannot play them at all! My friend has the same phone, when i put my memory card in his the songs play, when i put it in mine, they dont. The player doesnt work. His phone has SW version 4 and i have version 7. Does anyone know what to do?

On V07, the MP3 player was disabled to allow for VCAST MUSIC. You can, however, re-enable the MP3 player through the "secret" service menu. Search on here or google it, the instructions are available.

i have a similar problem... i put 200+ songs on my card, yet only about 170 show up on my phone... what can i do to have em all play?

Well, that's not the same issue as nottus had, but what your issue might be is how long your song titles are. For the MP3 player, your songs need to be less than 47 characters including the .MP3 or they won't show up. Try shortening the names and see if that helps.

thanks... that got me up to 196, im still missin like 10 songs tho- any other tricks... one of the songs is an hour, its on the card, but it doesnt show up on the phone

One thing.....check the songs on your computer that you put on the card. Are they actually in MP3 format? I ran into that problem when I first got my phone. Realized that even though the songs on my computer were .mp3, they weren't in reality. Had to convert them.
