MP3 / WMA Queastions

I have my phone's MP3 capability turned on. When I hold down the front play button it says that there are no somgs in the memory card ( This is becauise I haven't put the card in yet). With this information said, I have the following questions.

1) When ripping CDs with WMP, they are saved to a folder. Should I copy the folder or the individual songs to my memory card?

2) Considering how I have my phone setup, should I be saving these songs as MP3 or WMA> I am guessing MP3.

Thank You

1) the individual songs. unfortunately you can't put sub-folders in your My_MP3'S folder on your card.

2) MP3's at 128kbps is what i use. i can on average fit 4-7 more songs on the card using MP3's than with WMA's.

1). As far as I know when you put songs on WMP they are automatically converted to WMA format, which you don't want if you are using the MP3 player VS. the VCAST MUSIC player.

2). You should be saving the songs as MP3's and dragging them from your desktop to the MY_MP3 folder on the card and they should work just fine.

it is the default for CD's that are ripped to the computer's hard-drive via WMP to be WMA, but under TOOLS > OPTIONS > RIP MUSIC > RIP SETTINGS in WMP, you can change the default format to MP3.

Yeah. That I knew. I did some ripping to MP3 last night. Hope to have my memory card either today or tomorrow. I can't wait.
