V.07 Available, But Not Available

i went to the second Verizon store in my area yesterday and though they had the v07 software upgrade, the techie said they weren't giving it out because it had fried one of the customer service girl's phones the day before. i've been reading this forum since i got my phone, and this is the first i've heard of v07 frying anything.

also, if i have multiple missed calls and delete one, sometimes it remains on the screen as if i didn't get rid of it. so when i go to re-delete it, it deletes one of my other missed calls. i know this is a minor glitch, but since i use my missed calls to determine who to call back at times, i could really benefit from this being fixed. anyone else have this same problem?

They told me the same thing last week. I went to a Verizon store on Tuesday and they told me they fried one already that day but would try mine if I want and so I told them to try it and they fired mine too so they had to give a new phone which they told me have V07 on it but it still have V04 so they told me to call back later and see if there machinis fixed yet. I called today and they told me it is working now and I can come in so I'm going to try again after work tonight.

Sounds more like they way they were doing it or their machines themselves, not the version, since they said they have their machines working now and can do it. ?????????

Frying your phone is always a risk when flashing new software...just try to make sure you find a tech that knows wth he/she is doing, if you ask them to flash your phone and they look at each other funny and say..well we can try...walk out of the store and find another vzw store.

Keep in mind....speaking on behalf of the techs....the programs we use to flash the phones don't always do what they are supposed to....this sometimes results in phones that are "fried"....nature of the beast.
