I have been searching through this forum for over an hour and have come across alot of info on how to enable your 8100 phone for DUN. but I have not found specific instructions on how to setup your laptop to to connect to the internet through your laptop. I was able to do this with my old phone the VX4500 using the Verizon Mobile Internet program and a data cable. Will this still work with the 8100? also is there a way to connect to a high speed internet and how would you do that. I am sorry if these instructions have already been published on this forum, but I could not find them. If so please point me in the right direction. Thanks

They have been posted but since I just learned myself, I'll share the wealth. I use a usb blutooth adapter from kensington. Once that little magical device is instaled, you simply pair the devices together and the phone as a modem option will appear in your options for a connection. Once the dial up screen appears, dial #777 and you are connected. It does use phone minutes so be aware of that.

Ok, so the bluetooth option - how expensive is that AND do you have to be subscribed to an ISP?

Thanks!

What's the difference? How come the one on Circuit City's website isn't the same as the one on Kensington's website?

The bluetooth option runs 50 for retail and much less elsewhere. And the lovely thing is that you don't need an ISP. Verizon is your ISP. You can connect to your ISP if you'd like but there is no need to.
