Since you have the update, you don't need to rename to .qcp, etc. Keep as MP3 and you may need to shorten the name of the song, for instance if the song is Jay Z dirt off your shoulders.mp3, change to dirt.mp3 and it should work just fine.

I don't know if this would make any difference or not, but someone else on one of these threads mentioned that when he copied songs from the desktop to the card folder it didn't work, but when he would drag them to it, then it worked. Don't know if this would work for you, but it would be worth a try.

Hey, first off, take the card out of the phone and then hold down the front "play button." If it says "no music found on card" or something like that then you know you have the update. Some people here got their phones updated, but when they got home they realized their phones didn't take the update and remained at version 1.
Second, put the card into your phone, turn it off and then on and then take the card and put it into your computer. when it pops up it should have 4 folders showing "My mp3s" "my flix" etc. then copy the mp3s into the "my mp3 folder. should work.
I'm guessing the problem is either of those 2: phone not really updated or you didn't allow your phone to format the card first.
I know you're frustrated, and I'm sorry ...

i made sure that i have version 4 . when the card is in the phone ,if i hold down the the front button it says no songs found in memory card. when i take the card out of the phone,i put it in the adapter piece and then in the reader, and then in my usb port in the front of my computer. i open up my computer, then my sd drive 'which is f on my computer' and i see the 4 folders .now my mp3s are sitting on my desktop and i send them to my f drive ,once there i have tried dragging to the my mp3, and my sounds folder.once they are in there i open up the folder just to make sure they are there. i remove the reader after it says it is ok to remove hardware, put the card back in the phone , check the folders my sounds and or my mp3 folder, they aren...

Im playing MP3's on my phone all you need is Bitpim and a wire. The memory card is such a waste. If you bought it return it i can have up 15 songs on my phone. Full length and they definitely aren't chopped up like the ones that are offered to you. 😎

Yeah, but do you have the update? And if you use the memory card and not Bitpim then you are not hacking your phone AND you can also transfer pics and such to your pc with card.

Did you place the songs in the correct folder on your card? Because there are 4 folders that appear the songs need to go into the MP3 folder. And the title length doesn't need to be that short so long as the titled fits on one line w/o starting a second line you should be ok.

Did you format the card from your phone? When you format the card in the phone it will create the directories you need.

Go to Settings and Tools, then System, , Manage Memory, select Card Memory, then look in the lower right hand corner of the screen and select Options, and you'll be presented with an option to format the card.

You're lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number (unless you changed it in the Settings - I don't think many people do that though - I do though).

Take a look at my post (11:17 a.m. post). Try that and let me know if it works.

Just in case, I'll put it here:

Copy MP3s in to MP3 folder. When finished, *DO NOT REMOVE DEVICE*. Instead, first click on icon in tool bar/task bar/whatever in the lower right-hand corner of you computer screen and choose the one that says something like "remove drive/disk/whatever safely".
*If you do not see the icon,
you'll be able to choose
this option from the menu of the
Removable E Drive. It may say,
"Eject".*
Then, once you've selected to safely remove the device, the computer will pop up a message letting you know you can remove it. This worked for me b/c I had the same problem.

Even when you go to "My MP3"? I noticed that when I looked in the card) when it was in the phone, there's no MP3 folder, but when I access the MP3 player (under Get Tunes, etc.)the MP3s show up. Other than that, I'm sorry ☹️ I don't know what else to tell you. It sucks that no one @ LG or Verizon can help you. If none of that works, I'd return the card and get another one. Is it SanDisk?

Also, what operating system do you have? I have a SanDisk and it came with a little CD for anyone who has Windows 98. If it's newer than Windows 98, then it's supposed to automatically detect the device.

Try in the MP3 folder. Also, if you haven't tried this, then try this:

After pasting in to MP3 folder, there should be an icon in the lower right-hand corner of the tool bar/task bar/whatever on your computer. (If not, you should be able to get to it from the menu of the Removable E Drive). Make sure you tell it you want to eject/remove the device. The computer will tell you when it is safe to remove the device from the USB.

I had the same probem and this worked for me. Why it needs to be "safely removed" in order to "save", I don't know, but like I said, it worked for me.

are you sure that the songs are in mp3 format? could be labled that and not be. try converting them to mp3 again, just to make sure. another thing, when you drag and drop do you get the progress bar showing you that it's transfering file over to card. only show's for a few seconds, but helpful in determining if your actually putting the song on there or just a shortcut, wich will not work.
