256 or 512 or WHAT for miniSD??
More than likely, most of my miniSD memory will be used for MP3s. Which memory size card is best (well, I know which will hold more, but I'm talking about reasonable as far as to approx. how many MP3s each size will hold)?
Thanks!

My 256 holds about 47-55. How many will vary from person to person depending on the length of the song, the bit rate, and other factors. To use me as an example I could fit 200ish on a 1gb card. Hope tat helps.
P.S.
Always buy as much as you can afford. You would rather have too much and not need it than to have too little and have to buy another card.

I agree - too much is better than not enough!
What's a good size file to transfer? I know the smaller the file, the less space it will consume. As far as sound quality, what's the lowest I can go without a noticeable difference (on the phone, I mean. I realize I'm not going to get the same sound as I would if I was listening to it on my car stereo)? Right now I have some on there @ 56. So far, it sounds fine, but I'd like to go smaller so I can fit more, but don't want to compromise the sound quality.
Thanks!

If you thing that mp3's @ 56kbps sound ok then you must have some bad earphones. Personally I think anything less than 128 sounds bad. But thats just my taste. Find a level you're happy with. Keep compressing to see what that point is for you. Everybody hears things differently so its a matter of personal taste. And a good pair of earphones makes a whole world of difference to how things sound.

I wasn't using earphones. I was just listening through the speakers of the phone, maybe that's why it sounds ok to me? Or maybe my ears are weird! 🤣

In my (personal) opinion... you should also try or go with 96 Kbps. I have songs on my phone at that bitrate and they still sound pretty darn amazing!!!
But I will add that even though its said that anything under 128Kbps sounds bad... (and I agree to some extent) 96Kbps is PERFECT for when you're putting alot of songs on cards like these and you want to put the most amount possible with the least quality lost.
96Kbps should do... I wouldn't put ANYTHING under that on your card.
...just my opinion...
