Update is being released this friday
I'm just starting a new thread to try to keep this stuff organized. I just called the verizon wireless store in sioux falls, sd (605)336-2240 and they said that the update was supposed to be released today or tomorrow but due to some delay it wont be out untill friday. i called vc to verify and got the same answer. thats right, they were on the same friggen page for once!

If one knew of it then all in the store would. Tech in store in Sioux Falls said he has the phone and he watches the memos and company intramail all the time for the update. He said he hasnt heard squat.

just drop it bottom line for the majority of us we do not know when this software is coming out.. we just need 2 be patient until it does.. i mean we have proof of the mp3 player working so we do know the software is in some hands.. we just need to be PATIENT

Yeah, the whole thing sounds strange to me. First of all 2 hrs.? I've had updates before on other phones and it only took seconds. Second of all, you can lose some contacts and pics? That just doesn't sound right to me.

you have to realize they are putting a big ass feature on the phone... its a mp3 player and plus there are other things it fixes.. but im not sure what those other things are yet

If this is true, and the 'update' is going to take 2 hrs., they are probably going to strip the software completely and re-program everything. Don't know if this is good or bad. They are libel to f**k it up all over again. Good phones might turn up bad. Their track record with their last couple of phones hasn't been great. 🙄
