I'm sure there are more than what I use it for, but currently I personally use it to put songs on to listen through my stereo headset and also move my pictures taken from the phone onto the card to put on my computer to avoid paying to send them to pix place or through e-mail/pix message from the phone.

I use it to transfer music, pics, and videos between the PC and the phone. i can store other files on there, too, as some sort of jump drive - the files just don't appear on the phone.
Also, the card fits in the HP PSC1610's memory reader, so i don't need a separate reader.
Amazon.com sells the 512MB one for the same price as Best Buy's 256MB one.
