I paid over $200.00 for this phone, and its going back today. I'm getting it from Amazon instead! I think it only works for people that are switching carries, and i'm switching from Cingular to Verizon. They are also selling the E815 for free as well.

Says you have to be activating new service. I hope you saw that. If you read the pdf file it specifies that it cannot be used for "purchases for use on an existing account and phone number".

True but it does say you can activate a second line and get the rebate as long as you don't cancel the first line.
The killer is: 'You must remain active on the account for at least 180 days to qualify' and 'You must wait 60 days from the shipping date on your packing slip before sending in your rebate form'.
So basically you pay $100 for the phone plus activation fee, and you send in the $50 rebate form. Then you wait 2 MONTHS and send in the $150 rebate form. They wait another 4 MONTHS and then process your rebate form, which you then receive in TWO MORE MONTHS after that, if they don't reject your rebate form.
Do the math: by then you already qualify for a contract extension discount on a much better phone 😲
