Just to be clear about why i hate the 8100
Its not the menu, or the pictures (which suck totally in dark light, the flash is total poo) the crippled bluetooth, the non functioning mp3 player, the fact you have to hack this phone to death in order to get any of that stuff to work, not the screen, or the external screen, or the UI, the look of the phone (although i think its kinda resembles a ghetto asian civic with the spoilers, ground effects, annoying muffler, and neon lights) the speakers (which look like those cheapo boomboxes that best buy and circuit city sell, you know the ones with the big subs on the sides hmmmmm)
ITS THE FREAKIN BATTERY LIFE!!! I can live with the rest of its faults, but the battery life is the pits.

2 words for you "Extended Battery" 😁 My battery last a full day in mine which is about average for any phone I have owned as I am a pretty heavy user. When it is available, I would suggest an extended battery, I know I am picking one up. Also, are you charging the phone while it is off or on? If you are charging while it is on you are actually only getting between 70% and 80% of the full capacity of the battery. Run it all the way down to beeping, turn it off, charge it fully while it is off and try it again.

Wow look at the big brain on mjh, uh you must have no life either if your reading my post, and I should not have to go out and spend more money just so i can have more than a days worth of juice in this worthless ghetto phone.
I don't work for motorola, or any other cell phone comp. Just because someone gives a review with their experience doesn't make them a spy or basher or whatever you paranoid people think. I am just stating the facts of MY EXPERIENCE. Its been crap for me, thats all. If anyone is lame around here its all the team players that are standing up for a cell phone, please its just a phone. I don't give a crap who makes it, as long as it works like it should. This phone sucks, get with the reality of it.

I am into my 3rd day and have only drained about half the battery (standard) and I am using a Bluetooth headset. Used V-Cast and Get-It-Now for awhile. No messaging, though.

I am having none of the issues these people keep complaining about...no earpiece problems, no short battery life, no bad reception. It seems like MOTO just gave it's employees a laindry list of things to post.

I am having no issues either. I work in the tech field in Huntsville where we deal with a lot of cell phone tech and I know enough Moto employees to know that they do promote the bashing of the competition on the web.

Some of you people have to realize that this phone was released early. This is one of the first phones that will support the music on demand feature. Would you have rather waited for it, and bitch that it is not out? The buttons on the front are for the MOD service, not an MP3 player. Once MOD is releases later this year, you will probably be able to use it as a full feature MP3 player. What we forget is that VZW is waaaayyy ahead of all carriers in the 3G arena.
