Just to let anyone know from the central ny area, I called *611 today and they said end of the month. I went to a verizon store (not a kiosk or best buy or circuit city) and they said they didn't know yet. Although they say they dont know, it was real busy in there and they didn't even check on the computer so I think I was wasting their time! I'm suprised because of the fact that (correct me if I am wrong) Syracuse has EV-DO coverage and everyone keeps saying that the cities with EV-DO will get the phone first! Let me know if anyone had a different experience around here! 😎

hey dukeb,i am also from the syracuse area,went to the mall yesterday(7-11-05)asked a vzw rep about the 8100,and the look on his face said he had no clue,who knows,i think he does know but not saying.iam currentley using the vx7000,which is good,but want the 8100,i will ride out the storm,soon will be here i hope.

It seems as if the northeast is getting the phone later in the month. The 15th is almost here and no one knows about the phone in any of the stores in central jersey. They just keep saying next few weeks....

ROLMAO-there's 30 days in those months also,it will suck waiting till' september,but regardless,being happy about it or mad,it still won't help

2 of my VZW stores in Long Island have it, they just won't sell it yet....I was able to look at it...
