I'm finally done with my Sprint contract and ready to switch to Verizon. From the looks of it, the VX8100 is the best phone (soon to be) available and is a considerable upgrade from the vx8000. The only thing is i don't have the patients especially considering that we really have no idea about a release date.
1) If i buy the vx8000 with the replacement insurance and use it for the next 6 months or so, when presumably the 8100 would be released and the 8000 discontinued, then happen to lose my 8000 would verizon send me a 8100 as a replacement since the 8000 had since been discontinued?
2) If this is a ridiculous notion and not at all feasible, is it worth waiting a few weeks for the release of the moto E815? Bottom line: since i'll be a ...

No becuase they still keep the models on hand. They just discontinue selling them. Trust me i know. I've had my lg 4400 replaced three times with the same phone. And apparently some states aren't allowed to replace the phone with a different model unless they no longer stock that phone at all in the warehouse because of legal issues. So trust me... you'll be stuck with the 8000 for two years. Just wait for the 8100
...

😎 i agree, wait for the lg 8100 unless you need a phone now and dont care so much about the bluetooth and mp3 player..... then go with the 8000.

stay away from the moto phone!!!
