VX8100 is a downgrade?

VX8000: 262K / VX8100: 65K
Camera:
VX8000: CCD with Macro mode / VX8100: CMOS without Macro mode
I'd think that LG would put a QVGA on the VX8100 (like the CDM9900) and keep the external display 262K.
The VX8000 takes the best pictures out of all of Verizon's current phone line-up. This is because it has a CCD camera and good lens.
So why does LG downgrade the VX8100 to a CMOS?

Also look at the weight. 4.16 oz for the 8100 vs. 3.88 for the 8000. The new 8100 is smaller (in heighth) which is definitely good, but a little thicker (probably b/c of the mini-SD). Interesting that my Audiovox 8940 has the mini-SD and is alot smaller and lighter than both of these phones. 😲

It is a shame about the loss of the CCD camera. CMOS cameras can take good pics, but not many do. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Anybody who's anybody knows that American cars are very poorly engineered and built. Some may get lucky and get one that lasts a while and is problem free, but it's not typical. Results may vary, but good results arent typical.

I have to disagree, American Manufaturers have stepped up their quality. Considering they have lost a lot of sales to Japanese Manugfacturers that do a great job of building Cars right here in the US. But I disagree with the statement that the trucks of our good american Manufacturers are in a state of dismay as they are very well built.

Yea I will take a Chevy pick-up anyday. My parents have a '96 Silverado Z71 and it has 210,000 miles on it and it's still running like new. It has been a very reliable truck, and has never left them stranded anywhere. I own an '05 Colorado LS Z71, and it is a very well built vehicle. I'm sure I will have it for a long time.

I know this isn't related to phones, but on the topic of american cars, I have a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier, and it runs great for as old as it is. It has a ton of miles on it, not sure exactly how many, but I can keep up with my dad in his 1996 family van (windstar if ur wondering) on the interstate. its been a pretty good car to my and my mom before she gave it to me (she got a buick).
