friends send me picture messages and they show up in my inbox but I cant open the picture until 24 hours later. what is the cause of this? do i have to be in my "home" area for this to work instantaneously?

Is your friend on VZW? I've had friends send me txt/pix messages that can take days to deliver due to being on another network...
