I have read the forums about hacking new skins for this phone. Is there any other way of doing it. I am a little leery about hacking my phone seeing that I have never done it.

There isn't any other way that I know of in order to put new skins on the phone than without using a usb cable and p2k commander and all those programs. You really aren't in any danger of messing up your phone just by adding another skin folder to the skin section of the phone, so I wouldn't worry about it, I've added a few skins and I love the way they look and it hasn't given my phone any problems.
