Hi Y'all

About a week and a half ago I finally got off my butt and set up my phone to do DUN. It worked great and I got pretty good speeds too. sometimes it would work intermittently, though. trying to connect would come up with with an error after trying to verify username and password. for user names I've used qnc, vzw3g.com, and my number@vzw3g.com. All have worked to get me connected at one time or another. Now nothing seems to work. In about 20 attempts I might be able to connect once. Last night I couldn't get on at all.

Is anyone out there getting reliable operation out of the E815 DUN? I have DUN enabled, so I know that's not the problem.

It may be coincidental, but I'm also wondering if the problem is related t...

I had this problem once with my Dell Axim PDA. Make sure your bluetooth settings on your PDA or PC does NOT have a proxy server entered in the Bluetooth settings. A check mark should also be in the box that says "This network connects to the internet"(if on a PPC)

The DUN settings:
Number you dial is #777
Username is yourtendigitphonenumber@vzw3g.com
Password is vzw
Do not use a domain.
Set device to DHCP (no assigned static address or DNS)

Last but not least, your phone may have an EVDO issue. Mine did once and when I went into the Get It Now shopping cart, it did not have the VCast option to purchase. If so, call Verizon and they will fix it. Just tell them you are looking for items like VCast in the cart and they dont show.

Eric,

Thank your for your reply. I was just going to update the status of my situation when i checked my email and saw that you had replied. I finally figured out the problem last night and you hit it on the head. Somehow, my data was deactivated on my account. coincidentally, my problems began at the start of my billing cycle after I complained about an outrageous bill I had last month due to a mistake. I think something got switched off in the correction.

I called VZW last night because I couldn't connect to my wireless web and they asked me to try a whole bunch of different stuff. GIN wasn't working and wireless web wasn't working. He took those options off my account then reactivated them. Now everything works. I can use w...
