question about the starting noise
i jus got the 815 today i am pleased. i was wondering if the noise that the phone makes when it starts up can b turned off or not. thanks a bunch

I don't have this phone anymore, but I know for sure you can silence this. I believe it's in menu under settings, sounds then under power on/off sounds and you can choose off.

yea i tired things like that but i couldnt find it. im trying to get used to the menu its different from what im used to. i kno the setting s in here somewhere.

Sorry I couldn't have been more helpful. If I had it in front of me I could do it. Just trying to go by what I remember. Hopefully you will find it or someone else will post for you. I know that sound is annoying and I always turn that off on all the phones I get.

The way to silence the phone when you turn it on is to make sure your phone is either silent/vibrate before you turn it off. Then when you turn the phone on it will not make a noise when silent or just vibrate when on vibrate.

Not on my phone! I cannot find the setting anywhere. It is REALLY annoying.

The start up sound can NOT be silenced on the e815, unless it is set to vibrate. But, you are NOT suppose to turn the phone on during school anyway, so it shouldn't matter! 😉
