Verizon Leather Case swivel - clip stretched out

Have the Verizon branded leather case with the swivel belt clip. After one week the clip (metal hinge) is stretched out and no longer clips tight to belt. Has anyone had the Verizon case for a long time? Did I just get a dog and should replace it or try another brand and/or type of case?

I've never used a leather case, but wanted to mention, if you got it from Verizon, they have a 15 day return policy on accessories too, so you may want to get in there before your 15 days and exchange for another one for free. Don't know if you'll have the same problem or not, but it's worth a shot to get a replacement at no charge and try that out.

I've been using my Verizon case for about a month now after debating between the Verizon, Motorola, or Body Glove. I sometimes wear some pretty thick belts, and have had no problems with the clip stretching. Probably just a manufacturing defect with yours.

As for choosing a carrying case....I posted a thread a while back that you can find. 🙂

I used a Verizon leather case with my 730 for a couple of years. Actually, I just used the back half and looped the leather strap around the antennae. I purely loved it. In buying a new 815 recently, my old case didn't line up the hole with the microphone and it was looking tacky. I reordered the new Verizon case, got it today. I have an extended life battery, so it's a bit snug. But I love it. There is also a lambskin case on ebay for around $12 (I think) that I have on order. It looks perfect for hooking my Bluetooth phone on the sun visor so it works with the car radio properly, but stays out of the way. I love the Verizon accessories other than the outrageous pricing. 👿

Yes, I had that problem two days ago. Out of the blue, the sucker was open-mouthed. I just squeezed it back together and it works fine.

Thanks for all the info. Just fyi, I did bring it back and they just gave me another somewhat different clip (still Verizon branded), it fits the same holster but is a little different (not as wide, a little longer, I see a screw in the metal hinge inside). Hopefully it will work better. Not sure if I got a bad one originally or if it was just poorly designed. If anyone else has the same problem you might want to see if you can exchange it.

Take a stroll over to www.motorola.com and look at the accessories page for the phone. I have the EVA pouch and LOVE it. The phone is held close to the body, it's easily accessible and still well protected. This also leaves the phone to be used in it's bare state, which looks pretty good I must say.

Moto has a special on them, I think it's $6 plus shipping, good deal in my book.

Thanks! I like the protection of the leather but with the swivel it sticks out and is always getting caught on things, sometimes popping the phone open. This may meet my needs and the price is right! Good deal, thanks!

Yea it sometimes happens that it will stretch out you can either buy the clips in a set of 2 or you can go into the store and say my clip stretched out and they should replace it. Hope that information helps.
